The Dynamic Duo…

One’s a great baker, and the other’s a great taster! Together we make a great team, complementing each other’s skills to bring you comprehensive tutorials, foolproof recipes and the best advice for making beautiful celebration and novelty cakes.

Sue’s story

After always buying celebration cakes for my son’s birthdays, I decided to make them myself. He was only 5 years old at the time so it seemed like a fun way of surprising him with something new. From then on, my desire to make cakes grew and grew! My son Lucca still loves cakes and is now my chief taster.

I had virtually no experience in baking before, but luckily enough found Lynda at Top That Sugar Craft, a local cake supplies shop near where we live. She gave me an amazing introduction to baking a cake, through to how to decorate different types of cakes, from simple semi-naked cakes to complex celebration creations.

It just goes to show that even complete novices can learn to make stunning cakes too, and now I’m Sue-per excited to share all that I’ve learned with you!

Tracey’s story

Baking cakes is fantastic fun, but I admit I prefer to eat them! I have a great time baking with Sue though, whisk in one hand and a glass of wine in the other. She bosses me around the kitchen, showing me how even a complete cake baking novice like me can rustle up an incredible cake, that looks like a pro made it.

I’m a writer and blogger, and my culinary expertise lies more in making tasty treats for my dogs. If you want to try this too, you can find lots of dog treat and dog cake recipes over at caninecompilation.com
